On the occasion of bidding farewell to the old year and ushering in the new, we, on behalf of the Party committee and administration of SITC, would like to extend greetings and New Year wishes to all teachers, students, staff, retired comrades, alumni, leaders and friends from all walks of life who have been concerned about and supported the development of our college for a long time!

The past 2023 is an extraordinary year and the first year of promoting Chinese-style modernization. General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Jiangsu and asked Jiangsu to take the lead and set an example in promoting Chinese-style modernization. He gave Jiangsu "four new" major tasks, and placed high expectations on the high-quality development and modernization of Jiangsu.

The past 2023 is an extraordinary year for SITC. It is a key year for the implementation of reform and development of vocational education. We have carried out solid education and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and made remarkable achievements in promoting the construction of high-level vocational colleges. We have won 347 honors and projects at the national, provincial and municipal level.

This year, we have shouldered a responsibility and made new achievements in high-quality development. We have more confidence and determination to reform. Our work performance has been satisfactory, and our comprehensive strength has been significantly improved. Our college has won the first class in comprehensive assessment of high-quality development in Jiangsu Province for four consecutive years, and the leadership assessment has won "excellent" grade again. SITC was selected as "Green School of Jiangsu Province" and "High Quality and Safe Campus of Jiangsu Province". SITC has been listed in all four lists of top 60 Typical Colleges in Service Contribution, Top 60 Excellent Colleges in Resource Construction, Top 100 Excellent Colleges in Student Development Index and top 100 Excellent Colleges in Teacher Development Index.

This year, we have drawn a blueprint and written a new chapter for everyone. We have fully implemented the Party's educational policy and focused on the reform of the talent training programs, so that every student can acquire a skill. Students of SITC have won many prizes. Dai Zhengqin was awarded the "Most Beautiful College Student" in 2022, the only one in higher vocational colleges. Our students won 4 first prizes, 2 second prizes and in China 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition and 1 gold medal & 1 silver medal in China International College Student Innovation Competition, winning the gold medals for 5 consecutive years.

This year, we have shown the new style of cultivating talents with tenacity. We uphold the fundamental feelings of taking students as the center and bear the mission of cultivating talents for the Party and the country. Teachers of SITC have achieved fruitful results in teaching, scientific research, social service, cultural inheritance and talent cultivation, and contributed their wisdom and strength to the reform and development of vocational education. SITC was approved the third batch of National Vocational Education Teacher Innovation Team; 2 humanities and social science projects of the Ministry of Education; 4 national quality courses and 17 national planning textbooks.

Looking back to 2023, the achievements of our college are all made by the industrious wisdom and deep feelings of our faculty and students. Here, we would like to extend the highest respect and the most heartfelt thanks to them all.

The year 2024 is an important opportunity period for the high-quality development of SITC. Let us join hands to work for the high-level vocational colleges with Chinese characteristics with relentless determination and courage, and contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of a "strong, rich, beautiful and high" new Jiangsu.
