As the new year dawns, all things are renewed. On the occasion of bidding farewell to the old year and ushering in the new, we, on behalf of the Party committee and administration of SITC, would like to extend greetings and New Year wishes to all teachers, students, staff, retired comrades, alumni, leaders and friends from all walks of life who have been concerned about and supported the development of our college for a long time!
The year 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China and also a crucial year for vigorously advancing the "14th Five-Year Plan." Guided by the thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, SITC has adhered to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and achieved a series of new achievements, breakthroughs and progress. SITC has provided a powerful answer to the question of "how SITC could contribute to building an educationally powerful country."
In 2024, we pursued the light and upheld our original mission. We adhered to the original mission of nurturing talent for the Party and the country. We devoted ourselves to organizing a series of activities for the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China. Thousands of students wrote and read together "A Letter to My Family," achieving the goal of nurturing love in their hearts, knowledge in their eyes, skills in their hands, and actions on their feet. Students of SITC are increasingly becoming the pride of their families, the elite of society and the pillars of the country. SITC once again won the "First Grade" in the comprehensive assessment of high-quality development among provincial universities in 2023 for 5 consecutive years.
In 2024, we gathered the light and shone brightly, demonstrating courage and responsibility. We continuously promoted the new paradigms of action plans, enabling young students to excel in their studies, secure good employment and successfully start their own businesses. Our teachers worked diligently and tirelessly. Three online quality courses for vocational education were approved at the national level, and one first-prize award was won in the provincial vocational college teaching ability competition. Our students performed brilliantly and gained much through their efforts, winning one gold award in the World Vocational Skills Competition, seven first-prize awards in the provincial vocational skills competition, four first-prize awards in the provincial vocational college innovation and entrepreneurship competition, and one "Excellent Organization Award" in the first National College Student Career Planning Competition.
In 2024, we moved forward in the light, sailing forward without wasting our youth. Facing the new opportunities and challenges of modern vocational education, we were eager to reform and improve management efficiency. SITC was honored as one of the first batch of Jiangsu Demonstration Schools for Managing Schools by Law and selected as one of the first batch of Jiangsu "No Fraud Campuses." We clarified our direction and formulated measures, held the first high-quality development conference, and identified key development priorities. We inherited the teaching ethics and relayed dreams, grandly celebrated the 40th Teacher's Day, vigorously promoted the spirit of educators. The difficulties and concerns of teachers and students are the top priorities of SITC. We completed the renovation of the starry ceiling of the library, renovated student dormitories and upgraded the intelligent security system.
Looking back at 2024, everyone was a witness, pioneer, and builder of SITC's new journey of comprehensively advancing high-quality development. Time will not make us forget the past; instead, it will only make our memories fresh! Teachers devoted to educating students with sincerity and tracking the frontiers of science; students diligently practiced in training rooms, exchanged ideas in the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" center, and donated their love on marathon courses... In this year, we saw all members of SITC putting in their best efforts and embracing their missions on their respective posts. This series of most authentic, moving, and confident scenes converged into the deepest power of SITC. Here, we sincerely express our heartfelt thanks to everyone!
The year 2025 is the final year of the "14th Five-Year Plan," the year for planning and laying out the "15th Five-Year Plan," and also a crucial year for SITC to strive for the "National High-level Vocational College." Guided by the thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, all members of SITC will uphold their beliefs and confidence, plan strategies according to the situation, act in line with the trend and seize the opportunity. Facing the first ray of sunshine of the new year, SITC will unite with determination, advance together with one heart and jointly depict a more splendid and wonderful future of 2025!
