To deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges between Chinese and American youth and implement President Xi Jinping's important initiative of "inviting 50,000 American young people to come to China for exchange and study in the next five years", SITC has recently carefully planned and organized the "YES Program – Chinese and American Youth Qipao Culture Experience Activity" under the framework of the Youth Exchange Service (YES) Program. As a key cultural exchange unit of this program, the activity, with the theme of "Chinese and American Youth Jointly Create a New Chapter for Intangible Cultural Heritage, attracted more than 20 American youth to participate in an immersive experience throughout the entire process.

This activity is the first important practice of SITC's “The Flowing Silk Road” project after it was successfully selected as a recommended project of the YES Program. In recent years, SITC has built a traditional culture experience curriculum system centered on “qipao culture” and “silk craftsmanship”. In the future, the college will continue to deepen the excellent traditional Chinese culture experience courses, expand the cooperation network with overseas universities and cultural institutions, and use more vivid cultural practices and more three-dimensional communication methods to tell Chinese stories, promote Chinese and American youth to enhance understanding and deepen friendship through mutual learning.
